SJFM is excited to announce the 2nd Annual SJFM Earth Day Market, on Sunday, April 16, 2023!
With International Earth Day on April 22nd, this market highlights all the vendors and organizations doing great things to reduce the impact on our planet.
Vendors include eco-friendly, natural, sustainable, vintage, thrifted, upcycled goods and repurposed items. And of course, we will have food vendors as well!
The MUN Botanical Garden is returning to offer a free composting workshop from 11am-noon in the Community Room in partnership with the City of St. John’s.
This event is free to attend – no registration or tickets required!
All-ages, accessible, gender inclusive washrooms.
Come show your love for eco-businesses and the earth!
Make sure to bring your:
– re-fillable water bottle to use at our two water refill stations,
– re-usable containers to take-away food and/or mug for coffee at the café, and
– re-usable shopping bags for all your goods.
SJFM accepts donations of:
– re-usable grocery bags and non-perishable goods for food bank users.
Vendors are asked to consider the environmental impact through the lifecycle of their products, including production of the materials, types of packaging, shipping distances, lifespan/use of the product, and its disposal.
